Fairfield City Open Libraries: Heritage Blog

About Us

The Heritage team of Fairfield City Open Libraries collects information on all aspects of Fairfield City, past and present, to make it available to all. The main collection is located at the The Whitlam Library, Cabramatta, with other selected resources available at our branch libraries or online.  We also work with other organsiations, such Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, to preserve and promote Fairfield’s heritage.

Our collection includes books, maps, subdivision and parish maps, and a variety of pictorial works. Our family history collection includes standard genealogical resources including indexes to Births, Deaths and Marriages for NSW (and several other Australia states), handbooks, directories, electoral rolls and shipping records.

If you are researching relatives that may have had a link to the Fairfield area or have photos and memorabilia related to Fairfield we’d love to hear from you – contact our Heritage Librarian, Marilyn Gallo, on (02) 9725 0347.
